Thomas Phommasith is the owner and chief engineer of Tomcat Machine Performance LLC.  His mission is to provide comprehensive machine alignments, machine calibrations, and accuracy improvement services for machine tool users and machine tool manufacturers.  He continues to devote his career in helping the American manufacturing industries to be competitive locally and globally.

Thomas holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an A.S. in Manufacturing Engineering Technology.  His education includes New England Institute of Technology, The United States Military Academy, Marion Military Institute, and Bishop Hendricken High School.  Thomas holds certifications in CNC programming, 3D solid modeling, and PLC controls.

Thomas’s professional experience in machine tool accuracy is attributed to working for a quality laboratory that held contracts with the Army Research Lab and National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining.  He developed, tested, and implemented methods and measurement products for the improvement of machine tool accuracy performance at both private companies and defense manufacturing sites throughout the United States.  During this rewarding experience, Thomas performed hundreds of machine corrections to include machine alignments and machine calibrations to hold exceptional accuracy tolerances.  He has also applied his professional knowledge in solving complex machine tool accuracy requirements by providing classroom instruction and onsite training.
